I am a Dutch film photographer based in The Netherlands, working with musicians, artists, on live photography, artist portraits and visual identity and storytelling.
My work is about more than documenting how an artist looks at a particular moment. I look for the mystery already there, using it to strengthen identity and create images that can become part of the myth and visual legacy that grow around an artist. That's why I love working with artists over time, building an image archive around who they are becoming.
Most artists already have photographs. Few have images that carry weight.
I create photographs that reveal character, strengthen identity and outlive promotion. Every image is made exclusively on analogue film.
